Optimization

  • Optimization performed on cloud rendering, which allowed an increase in frames per second for various maps

Interface

  • Visual elements of the plane characteristics list in the Hangar was changed ("stripes" instead of "chevrons")

Sound

  • The volume level in the introductory video now depends on the general volume level of the game (i.e., if the master volume was previously lowered, the introductory video volume will also be lower)

Other Fixes

  • Fixed dynamic event prices (for planes, equipment and ammo) not changing in the Hangar when event launches
  • The direction of propeller rotation for Bf. 110C-6 engines were fixed (the propellers rotated in opposite directions)
  • Weapon type in the Hangar module description was fixed for Scua ".303 Vickers Mk.III (К)"

Update 1.1.1

December 27, 2013

December 24, 2013

  • Fixed bug resulting in the client crashing upon launch with "Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000/4600" video chipset
  • Fixed some bugs that resulted in critical client closures
  • Fixed bugs relating to water textures on the "Lighthouse" map for low and very low graphics settings

Features Overview

This patch will introduce a lot of new content for our players:

  • New Focke-Wulf branch of German fighters
  • Five new tier V Premium planes
  • Two new maps
  • New achievements and medals

The balance changes that have been introduced aim to fix the domination of high-altitude planes, which is very noticeable both in random battles and tournaments. The properties of high-flying planes will not be altered much; however, planes with a lower optimal altitude and more maneuverable planes will be retouched to give them more ways to avoid incoming fire and to be able to counter-attack more efficiently.

Game Settings

The amount of superiority bar progression that a team loses has been reduced to the following rates:

  • 15% for a destroyed aircraft (was 50%)
  • 30% for a destroyed ground target (was 50%)
  • 90% for a destroyed HQ (was 100%)

Training

  • Added new training mission on how to attack ground targets
  • Added new descriptions to the "Team Battle" tutorial mission
  • Training Mission II now occurs on the updated "Harbor" map

  • Battle activity on the ground was added on the following maps: 'Harbor', 'El Halluf', 'Pacific', 'Bay' and 'Eastern Front'

Controls

Mouse

  • Advanced Settings screen was changed. Additional camera settings for "Horizontal" camera binding mode were added
  • New camera added for the mouse control profile. The camera uses a different algorithm for how to revert to proper view when the plane is inverted
  • "Standard" camera preset was reconfigured for the new camera. A new preset for alternate "Free Camera" settings was added
  • The former horizon-bound camera mode from version 1.0 can now be found in the advanced mouse settings menu
  • When you save your custom mouse settings, the horizon-bound camera profile will be applied. To switch from your custom profile to the new camera, simply set the camera mode to “Free."

Physics Changes

Physics

  • Planes' controllability was changed for below-optimal speeds. Improved controllability for close-to-stall speeds
  • Faster recovery from stalls
  • Improved roll controllability when stalling
  • Improved afterburner efficiency at critical altitudes
  • Roll maneuverability reduced at non-optimal altitudes

Shooting

  • The correlation between damage dealt and the altitude of two engaged planes has been removed. Previously, this connection led to insufficiently low damage rates when shooting at a plane from below, and excessively high damage rates when shooting at a plane from above
  • The difference in dispersion of fire at different speeds was reduced. Dispersion for shooting at low speeds was reduced
  • A bug, which led to plane speeds not being taken into account for damage calculation, was fixed. (This means that planes will now take more damage in head-on attacks)
