Pilots!
Don’t you think there is something in common between airborne communication and haiku? The Japanese eloquently manage to express the variety of complex emotions in just in 17 syllables, making their poetry not only linguistically perfect, but also incredibly precise, full of the slightest imaginary. Similarly, pilots convey important messages in very few shorts words: asking for support, pointing out the direction for attack, etc.
Back in the days, medieval Japanese warriors, before going into a battle, would write a haiku celebrating life. We propose you, the modern day air-knights, to exercise your wit and word mastery by writing a haiku in our Airborne Haiku Contest.
It is all very simple and straightforward. Write the 17 syllable haiku with Global Alpha Test and/or World of Warplanes as the main theme and get the Global Alpha Test access as a prize.
You may know about the haiku writing here and here.
Submit your verses in the special forum thread.
The expert panel of master-poets, i.e. World of Warplanes Community Team, would thoroughly access your haikus and award the best ones with the access.
You have precisely one week. The deadline is next Tuesday, April 10 12:00 UTC. Curious what time this is in your region? Use this handy Time Zone Converter to help you out.
