Back to School Contest: Week 1

Pilots!

Summer is coming to an end, and school is back in session! Each week throughout the month of September, we will be grading you on a curriculum of in-game events. The better your performance in each weekly event, the higher the 'grade' you'll receive, and the better the prizes you'll get!

In addition (see what we did there? Addition? School? Yeah...) at the end of the month we'll tally your average grade -- your GPA -- and place you into brackets for a chance at being randomly drawn for a bigger prize! 

The syllabus is as follows:

WEEK 1: ENGLISH

Let's see how well you can spell using the names of your enemies! Your English lesson is the familiar Skywriting Challenge, but this time it's a little bit more flexible, and a little bit tougher!

In the Skywriting Challenge, you will need to spell out words using the first letter of the names of enemy pilots. For example, if the word you needed to spell was "Plane," you would need to shoot down players whose names started with "P," "L," "A," "N," and "E." We usually give you one word to spell, but this time we're letting YOU chose your word from the vocabulary list below!

The list below contains words of four to 10 letters; the number of letters in a word corresponds with the grade -- and prize!

• Grade A: Spell a 10-letter word. Prize: 3000 + 3 days of Premium
• Grade B: Spell an 8-letter word. Prize: 2000 + 2 days of Premium
• Grade C: Spell a 6-letter word. Prize: 1000 + 1 day of Premium
• Grade D: Spell a 4-letter word. Prize: 500 

RULES

1. One word per person!
2. Screenshots of the battle results tab with the names of players you've destroyed must be posted to the official contest forum thread (attached to this article) by 23:59 PDT Sunday Sept. 7. Please only make ONE post with all of the screenshots! 
3. The word must have been spelled during the timeframe of the contest. You cannot use screenshots taken before Monday Sept. 1!
4. If a word has multiples of the same letter, separate players must be destroyed for each letter! For example, to spell a word with two “E’s” you would need to destroy two players whose names started with “E.”
