Pilots!
This week we are discounting early warplanes. In these lower tiers, you leave your biplane behind and continue down the evolution path to monoplanes. By the 1930s, many planes and designers had moved away from the fragile wood and canvas frames and toward more durable metal craft. Classic planes like the Yak-1 had composite structure with wooden wings but planes like the I-16 had their wings constructed of steel alloy. We’re honoring two World War II superpowers as you progress up your tech trees by discounting regular aircraft, tiers III through V, for the US and USSR.
