Pilots!
Flying planes in World of Warplanes is fun and all, but nothing compares to getting a chance to see some of these classic aircraft in flight. Below is a collection of airshows that are happening around the country and the better part of the world. If there are any we missed, take some time to comment in the forum thread and let us know so we'll keep this article updated.
The Great Eastern Fly-In is an annual event that invites pilots from all over Australia to take a short trip to Evans Head to, well, fly to the event. Don't have an aircraft? Not to worry because you'll be allowed to go on private airplane rides as well as checking out all of the cool aircraft on display.
For everyone living in the States, the first airshow to hit the continental US in 2013 will be the Cable Air Show in California which will be taking place at Cable Airport (which bills itself as the "World's largest family-owned, public-use airport"). As an added bonus there will be a classic car show and the Corona RC Club will be on hand as well.
It doesn't look like there's going to be too many vintage combat aircraft on display, but if you're a fan of the more agile sport-like aircraft you're sure to find a lot of things to like at the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo. You can see a whole list of aircraft on display here and tickets are on sale now.
If you live in New Zealand you're getting one of the best air show of the month, if not the whole year. Just check out the whole list of aircraft on display.
The American Heroes Air Show is more of a helicopter-centric show that will feature choppers from law enforcement, fire service, the military and more. The event (and parking) will be free.
