The tier IV Arado Ar 197 was conceived as a fighter for the “Graf Zeppelin,” Germany’s never-completed aircraft carrier, and was also the last German biplane fighter designed. While it never saw operational service, now you can take this multirole fighter to the skies! Tough, maneuverable and armed with two machine guns and two 20mm cannon, the Ar 197 can also mount four bombs and attack ground targets! The tier V Bell XFL-1 Airabonita was a prototype for a carrier-based variant of the P-39 Airacobra, which first flew in May 1940. While the US Navy tested it, it was not adopted for service. A mid-to-low-altitude fighter, the XFL-1 offers a balance between speed, maneuverability and raw firepower. With two 7.62mm machine guns and a massive 37mm cannon, the XFL-1 is ideal for ripping up attack aircraft and fighters alike! As of patch 1.8, maneuverability, speed and other flight characteristics have been improved. Flying the XFL-1 is an excellent way to earn more Credits and XP as you blast your enemies from the skies! |
