Pilots,
One of the latest features to hit World of Warplanes is Plane Birthdays. You probably caught a brief mention of them in our summary article for Update 1.8, but here's the tell-all featurette--read on!
Plane Birthdays are a new way for us to reward your loyalty by giving you little rewards for purchasing new planes. From Version 1.8 on, every plane you buy (and keep in your hangar) will grant you a dedicated “Birthday Gift” the day it reaches a certain age.
There will be presents given out:
These plane birthdays will be happening for all planes starting at tier II, regardless if they are regular planes, bought Premium planes or granted gift planes.
The bigger the birthday, and the higher the tier of the aircraft, the bigger the birthday gift will be.
Here’s a preview of what the “Birthday Gifts” will include:
Of course, already purchased planes that have passed their birthdays by the time the feature goes live will also receive their birthday presents. Look forward to collecting the complementary One-Year Emblems when you log in the first time on 1.8 for every plane that’s been in your hangar for 12 months or more.
As you can see, these Plane Birthdays will give you the chance to go back and play some of your older, maybe forgotten aircraft in order to earn some major XP and coin for your account.
If you’d like to learn more about the feature, consider checking out our dedicated article on the Developers Blog for more details on the Plane Birthdays straight from the developers.
