Pilots!
We hope you've been keeping up with the Project Spitfire Blog; it's been an unbelievable journey so far. Our very own Tracy Spaight, and a cast of other colorful characters, have been piecing together fragments of information and doing the grunt work to uncover a reported cache of Spitfires buried deep in the jungles of Myanmar.
This week marks an important milestone in the adventure, as our industrious companions have set out on the expidition to break ground! We're pleased to announce that we've updated the thrilling backstory of the quest so far. A dozen or so new entries have been added to the Project Spitfire Blog since our last announcement. You now have the opportunity to learn a little more of the archaeologists involved with the project, the history of Mingaladon Airfield, and about some of the science behind the geophysical principles and technology that are making this discovery possible.
We still don't know if anything is to be found when we unearth what we suspect to be large cargo containers buried at the airfield, so keep your fingers crossed and wish us luck!
