HIGHLIGHTS OF UPDATE 1.9.2
The winter update for World of Warplanes is here, and a new group of American mutirole fighters, the furious Thunderbolts, are coming with it! Fast, rugged, and powerful, the Thunderbolt line was the central pillar of American tactical aviation from the beginning of WWII through the Korean War.
We've balanced some planes and weapons, improved the behavior of bots, and applied some modifications for our Hangar and Training Room interfaces. Also, keep an eye out for the return of one of the year's most popular events in a dedicated future article!
New Planes: Meet the Thunderbolts
All of the planes represented in this new branch of American Multirole Fighters were produced by the Republic Aviation Corporation. These aircraft embody a timeless spirit of power and reliability. Their standout features: excellent durability and the ability to deliver devastating attacks on ground targets. As you progress through the Thunderbolt line, later aircraft can even mount and fire two different types of rockets at once!
The Thunderbolts aren't one-trick ponies, either; they're dangerous in aerial combat due to powerful engine boosts, good speed stats and a massive loadout of machine guns!
