Pilots! Boardgamers!
Even though most of the games were concerned with terrestrial combat, we're sure that most of our pilots are just as enamored with the sky as they are with all things wargaming!
Wargaming America recently sponsored The National WWII Museum’s annual Heat of Battle convention, which brings together wargamers from across the country to recreate historic WW2 battles. The three-day event features table-sized maps covered with hundreds of miniature tanks, planes, and warships whose fate rested on strategy and the roll of the dice.
Wargaming America sponsored the convention to support The National WWII Museum’s educational mission. Each year hundreds of visitors look on as gamers refight the major campaigns of WWII. The public can learn about the battles by talking with the game masters, watching the action, or joining in as a combatant. Participants also had a chance to check out World of Tanks at our booth.
We plan on continuing our support and interaction with this wonderful establishment and group of passionate individuals.
Thank you to everyone who came out to the event, all of the volunteers, and all the people who came by to chat with us at our booth. You're awesome!
