This fighter features excellent maneuverability (common for biplanes) and quite high speed and dynamic characteristics for an aircraft of this design. Its rapid-firing machine guns are effective at close range, allowing the I-153 DM-4 to skillfully perform the role of a classic close-combat fighter.
