The unique Premium Tier IX McDonnell XF-85 Goblin becomes available in the game for the first time. This aircraft was created in the U.S. under the "parasite fighter" program and was designed to be carried aboard a heavy bomber. In case of danger, the XF-85 was to leave a mother ship, defend it against enemy attacks, and return to the bomber after the battle was over.
The parasitic features of the Goblin extend beyond this. The small and nimble XF-85 is like a bothersome insect, capable of driving any enemy mad with its bites.
Its high dynamics and excellent handling make it a dangerous opponent for any same-tier counterpart. The small pool of hit points is compensated by the small size of the Goblin. It is difficult to hit, which provides for good survivability in a dogfight. Four large-caliber machine guns with an excellent rate of fire are very effective in close maneuvering combat where this agile aircraft is in its element.
