The Allies advance upon the Siegfried Line, a nightmarish barricade that stretches for hundreds of miles through France. Known by the Germans as the “Westwall”, the line conceals thousands of fortifications, tunnels, and traps, preventing forces on the ground from marching beyond it.

As the troops bottleneck, the Luftwaffe prepare to unleash a devastating surprise for the Allies in the form of the Dornier Do 335 A-1 Pfeil, a deadly warbird primed for both devastating bomb attacks on ground targets, and holding air supremacy over enemy warplanes. However, the Allies also have an ace up their sleeve. The American air forces fighting in Europe have primed the Curtiss XF15C, a swift and dynamic Fighter equipped with powerful guns and a furious engine, to intercept the Luftwaffe’s newest weapon.

How to Play

It’s time to begin Operation Westwall. Fight as Allied or Axis forces across two campaigns and a total of 60 different missions, with the completion of all missions in the brand new ‘Invasion’ and ‘Attrition’ game modes rewarding players with the ultimate jackpot in the form of two new warplanes: Dornier Do 335 A-1 Pfeil and Curtiss XF15C.

As with our recent Skies of Albion event, the game will have peacetime and wartime states, with missions only being available during wartime. When the countdown to wartime in the hangar is up, it will lead to a confrontation in either Invasion or Attrition modes, depending on the time and date. In order to access these modes, in addition to fighting during the specified times, you will need to battle using an aircraft that is Tier IV or higher (Tier I-III aircraft will be matched in standard ‘Conquest Mode’ games).

Dedicated publications will be released closer to the event detailing the new Invasion and Attrition modes, so watch out for them!

Operation Westwall missions will only be available across six weekends. Log-in during the following times to take part:

• Attrition: March 10 at 17:00 PT (20:00 ET) – March 12 at 12:00 PT (15:00 ET)
• Invasion: March 17 at 11:00 PT (14:00 ET) – March 19 at 12:00 PT (15:00 ET)
• Attrition: March 24 at 11:00 PT (14:00 ET) – March 26 at 12:00 PT (15:00 ET)
• Invasion: March 31 at 11:00 PT (14:00 ET) – April 2 at 12:00 PT (15:00 ET)
• Attrition: April 7 at 11:00 PT (14:00 ET) – April 9 at 12:00 PT (15:00 ET)
